Vidya Balan, Kajol, Urmila Matondkar, Shraddha Kapoor Attend The Prayer Meet Of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Father

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai’s prayer meet was held at Taj Landsend today evening and Bollywood stars gathered for the event.

Aishwarya, her mother Vrinda and daughter Aaradhya were among the first ones to arrive at the venue.

Dressed in sombre white outfits, the trio looked shaken as they made their way in. Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek and in-laws Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan too joined them soon.

The stars who were among the mourners included Kajol, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Rajkumar Hirani, Dimple Khanna and Twinkle Khanna.

Others who joined the prayer meeting were Bobby Deol, Neetu Kapoor, Hiroo Johar, Anupam Kher, Shakti Kapoor, Atul Kasbekar, David Dhawan and Tina Ambani.

After a prolonged sickness, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai took his last breath on Saturday.

The cremation took place at Pawan Hans Crematorium. Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Randhir Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker and Anil Ambani were among those who attended.

Krishnaraj Rai was hospitalised earlier in January as well because of which Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan cut short their New Year holiday and rushed back to Mumbai.

According to the doctor, Aishwarya's father was suffering from lymphoma cancer which spread to his brain. Aishwarya and Abhishek were visiting him constantly and were by his side the last few days at the hospital.
